Should I get an RTX 3050 or a 1660 Super for my budget gaming setup?

Hey everyone! I'm a budget gamer and I'm feeling a bit lost when it comes to buying a graphics card. I'm thinking about upgrading to an RTX 3050 (either the 8GB or 12GB, depending on what's available), but I've been hearing a lot of recommendations to go for a 1660 Super instead. What do you guys think I should do? Any advice would be super helpful!

You might want to hold off and wait for the RTX 5050 or RX 9050. They could be worth it if you're not in a rush!

I wish! But I'm a student and can't exactly wait for half-brother Musk to drop prices!

Before making a decision, what are your full system specs? That can really impact your choice!

I have an i3 10100F and 16GB RAM. Planning to upgrade more in the future, but right now I just want the GPU.

If you're looking for something right now, the RX 6600 is a solid choice too. It hits a good balance between price and performance.

Honestly, I wouldn't go for either of those. If you can, look for an AMD RX 6700 XT or even a 7800 XT if you find a good deal. They offer great performance for the price.

Good idea! I'll check r/hardwareswap for deals.

Are AMD cards future-proof? Like, can they last 6-7 years for casual gaming?
