I'm looking for Linux distributions that are user-friendly and don't require me to engage with the terminal at all. I really want something that just works right out of the box. Any recommendations?

If you’re into gaming or want something that runs smoothly, Bazzite or Pop OS are fantastic choices. Both are designed to work well without needing much terminal interaction, though you might still have to use it occasionally.

Bazzite is really neat! It’s been user-friendly for me, not much terminal fuss required.

For those who want a real hassle-free experience, I'd stick with Zorin OS or MX Linux too. Both have great communities and give you a nice interface without the need for terminal commands.

Zorin is especially good for those transitioning from Windows!

Honestly, most mainstream distros like Mint, Ubuntu, or Fedora can do the trick. They're all designed to work well out of the box, so you won't have to worry too much about using the terminal.

Agreed! Just find one that suits your style, and you'll be set.

Linux Mint is a great choice! It's user-friendly, and you can manage everything through the graphical interface. Plus, with the Cinnamon edition, its visuals are pretty nice too!

Absolutely! Mint really is the way to go.

Just make sure you use the latest version like Mint 22.2 to avoid any issues with newer hardware!

I'd recommend Ubuntu as well. It’s widely used, has a ton of documentation, and it's really simple to set up. Just familiarize yourself with snaps, and you should be good to go!

Totally agree! Ubuntu works for me on everything, but if you’re not into snaps, Mint is a solid alternative.
