Hey everyone, I'm about to deploy soon and I'm having trouble with my gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 Pro-16ACH6H). I've had it for about two years and mainly used it for gaming like Rocket League and Rust. It sat in my drawer for a couple of months, and when I started it up a week ago, it worked fine for about five minutes before becoming unresponsive and eventually freezing. I had to force it to shut down, but now it won't even turn on.
Here are the symptoms I'm experiencing:
1) No screen illumination.
2) The keyboard and power light come on, and the Caps Lock light stays on even when pressed.
3) After about 15-30 seconds, the laptop goes dark (not sure if it's shutting down or sleeping).
What I've tried so far includes:
1) Noted that the fans only spin for a second or two, which suggests it's not going into POST.
2) Reseated the RAM and tried each stick in various slots.
3) Tested it with just AC power.
4) Disconnected the CMOS battery for a hard reset.
5) Tried to boot without the SSD.
I'm worried that my motherboard has failed since I didn't update the BIOS or drivers during my ownership. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks and happy holidays!

You might be looking at a hardware issue if the fans are only spinning briefly. It could be the motherboard or even the power supply acting up. Have you checked to ensure everything is properly seated and that there are no visible issues on the motherboard? Sometimes, a good visual inspection can reveal problems not noticed at first.
It sounds like you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps. Here's something else to try:
1. Disconnect the laptop from AC power.
2. Open it up and disconnect the battery (check out an online guide for your model if needed).
3. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
4. Then, press and release the power button five times.
5. Connect the laptop back to AC power and press the power button.
If it boots up, make sure you shut it down properly, then reconnect the battery. Test it one more time before sealing it up.
