Why isn’t my mouse moving the cursor even though the buttons work?

I recently bought a XTrust 1109 Vylax Gaming Mouse on November 18, and I've run into a frustrating problem. The mouse buttons are functioning, but the cursor doesn't move when I try to use it. I've already tried uninstalling the drivers, reconnecting the mouse, and even cleaning it out with a vacuum. Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

Just to clarify, since the buttons are working but the pointer is not, you might want to troubleshoot further. Try pressing "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Delete" to bring up the task manager. Use your keyboard to navigate; check which processes are hogging resources. Sometimes, a stuck process can prevent the cursor from moving. Also, check if you accidentally enabled any pointer transparency settings, which could make the cursor hard to see.

Wow, I actually ended a few processes like Edge and Windows Explorer, and that seemed to fix it! Thanks for the tip!

Have you tried plugging the mouse into a different USB port? Sometimes, just switching ports can resolve connectivity issues. Also, restarting your computer can help clear up any temporary glitches. If all else fails, consider returning it as it might be defective.
