Hey all! I'm dealing with a frustrating problem with a program called Keyboard & Mouse Simulator. The weird part is that this software doesn't actually need the internet to function, but it only works when my Wi-Fi is disconnected. As soon as I connect to Wi-Fi, the program just freezes and doesn't respond, no error messages or anything. I want to understand why Wi-Fi is affecting the program.
Here are some specs for context:
- Model: ASUS Zenbook 14 (UX3405CA) running Windows 11 25H2
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 285H
- Wi-Fi: Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE201
I've tried a bunch of fixes, including:
- Fresh installs and resets of Windows
- Running the program with admin privileges
- Ensuring everything, including Windows and drivers, are fully updated
- Adjusting settings for my Wi-Fi adapter
- Allowing and blocking the program through the firewall
- Factory resetting my router
- Also tried using mobile data hotspot but the program froze again.
Before discovering that Wi-Fi was the problem, I had tried using tools like Dependency Walker and Process Explorer, but they didn't provide any helpful insights. Any thoughts on this would be great!

You might want to reach out to the software's support team for advice on this. Since it only freezes when connected to Wi-Fi, there could be something in the software's code that doesn't play nice with certain network configurations. It’s more of a compatibility issue with the software rather than a problem with your laptop or network itself.
Just a heads up to be careful with software links! Sometimes security tools flag sites that look suspicious. But if you’ve been using it for two years without issues, it’s likely safe. I would still double-check the site and reviews to be confident about it.
If you've already contacted the developer and they helped a bit, that’s a good start! Since you mentioned that this program used to work fine on your old Windows 10 laptop, there might be a compatibility quirk with Windows 11. Other users have reported similar issues with certain programs after upgrading, so look into that angle too.

Yeah, I understand! I only shared the site for context. I run scans regularly and haven't found any malware, so I'm pretty sure it's safe.
