Hey everyone! I just bought the Cooler Master X Mighty Platinum 2000W PSU for about 230€ and I think I got a great deal! While looking into its Cybenetics rating of Platinum, I'm a bit confused. I want to know if having a Platinum badge really means it's a "premium" product, or if it's just a marketing tactic. Any insights on this would be super helpful! The Platinum rating mainly indicates power efficiency, which doesn't tell you everything about the unit's overall quality. To get a better picture, check out this PSU Tier list that details different models and their rankings. It can be super helpful in comparing options!
I think it's a bit misleading to say Platinum doesn't indicate quality. Achieving that high efficiency takes quality components and solid design. Generally, brands that produce Platinum-rated PSUs tend to have a good reputation because they want to avoid returns and offer long warranties. From what I've seen, they're usually high performers!
