Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I currently have an old PC with an Intel i5 4460 CPU, a GTX 1650 4GB GPU, and 16GB of RAM. My CPU seems to be struggling with the programs I use, and I'm looking to upgrade it. What's the best CPU that I can get for my current setup? Thanks for your help!

Could you clarify what you mean by 'the CPU is not enough'? There are newer programs that won’t run on any CPU from this generation. If it’s just that things run slow, then some upgrades might help, but don’t expect huge gains—probably around 15-20% better performance max.

You can upgrade to an i7 4770 or 4790; those will fit right into your motherboard as replacements. They’re the best options you have without needing to buy new parts.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend spending money on this platform. You might want to think about saving up for a complete system upgrade instead.
