Best Upgrades for My Aging Gaming PC

Hey folks! I'm looking to breathe some new life into my 5-year-old PC, as it's starting to show its age. I'm mainly into gaming but I also rely on it for schoolwork, particularly for heavy applications like video editing and music production, as well as general web browsing. I'm trying to figure out the best parts to upgrade without breaking the bank, as I have around 300-500 euros to spend, maybe up to 600 if it's truly worth it. Here are my current specs:
- **Processor**: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (3.40 GHz)
- **RAM**: 16 GB
- **Storage**: 466 GB SSD and 932 GB HDD
- **Graphics Card**: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB)

Also, I'd like to save some cash for a monitor upgrade from my current 60 Hz setup. I'd really appreciate any advice you all might have! Thanks in advance!

I’d suggest looking into a used RTX 3080 for around €280, along with a Ryzen 5 5600 for about €90, and consider adding another 16 GB of RAM to take it up to 32 GB. You could also grab a 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Overall, that should be about €500. If you want to save a bit, the RTX 3070 might be a good option for around €200 instead.

That sounds like a solid plan! If you do video editing regularly, I’d also recommend considering the Ryzen 7 5800X for even better performance.
