My GTX 1660 Super is on its last legs, and I need advice on finding a replacement GPU that pairs well with my Ryzen 5 3600. I'm aiming to spend around $250, but I know that might be a stretch. I'm hoping to find something in the $250-350 range that can comfortably handle 1080p gaming at 60 fps without breaking the bank. I enjoy a variety of games, including some demanding ones like Civilization 7, Mount and Blade: Warband, and Red Dead 2, so I'd like a card that doesn't struggle in the coming years. Unfortunately, I won't be upgrading my CPU anytime soon, as my budget maxes out at $350. I'd really appreciate any recommendations since I'm a bit out of touch with the PC hardware scene after a break from building.

A new option you might want to check out is the Intel ARC B580 if you're leaning towards something modern. But if you want a reliable and less risky bet, the RX 9060XT 8GB is a great pick for around $280. Just remember that keeping an AMD card is often better with an AMD CPU due to lower overhead.

For a budget option, I’d suggest looking at the GTX 1080 or 2080. They both offer a good bump in performance over your current card. Also, the RTX 3050 8GB is worth considering, but definitely avoid the 6GB versions! You should be able to find these cards at a reasonable price.

If you're looking for a solid upgrade, the RTX 3060 12GB worked great for me with my Ryzen 5 3600. It's perfect for 1080p gaming, and you'll find it around $200 in Australia. It has a good balance so you won’t face too much bottlenecking either.

Consider going for the RX 6800XT if you can find one within your budget. They outperform the 3060 and provide better longevity for 1080p gaming. If you're okay with second-hand options, a used RTX 3070 or a 4060ti could also be a solid choice. Just keep an eye on the prices!
