I've been dealing with a really frustrating issue on my Windows 11 PC. After downloading a program that shows which keys are being pressed, I discovered that my computer thinks the "media previous" key is constantly being pressed. The problem is, this key doesn't even exist on my keyboard! I've tried updating my keyboard drivers, uninstalling them, using a different keyboard, and even unplugging it completely, but the problem still happens, even with no keyboard connected. Every time I boot up my PC, I have to run a key mapping program to fix it, and then restart my computer for it to take effect. This has been going on for a couple of months now, and I really need some assistance to get it sorted out.

If your keyboard isn’t the issue, it might be your mouse! I have a customizable Logitech mouse, and sometimes a button can end up stuck or misconfigured. Check your mouse settings and see if there are any unexpected mappings!
You mentioned you already tried different keyboards, but have you also tested with a different mouse? If the issue persists even with other devices, consider resetting your system to a point before the problem started or doing a fresh Windows install. I know it sounds extreme, but it might be the only solution left!
Have you checked if your computer has any built-in media controls, like those on the front panel? Sometimes those can get stuck or malfunction and cause this issue. It’s worth a look!
Yeah, I think that could be it! I had a similar issue with my front panel buttons getting stuck before.
Also, check your Windows settings for "Sticky Keys" and "Toggle Keys". Sometimes those features mess with your key inputs if they're accidentally activated.
That sounds like a lot of work! But I definitely get needing to just wipe everything and start fresh. Good luck!
