Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole PC thing and could use some advice. I just got a new PC and I'm trying to install Windows 11 using a DVD. However, I keep running into a frustrating error that says 'system requirements not met.' I've tried a bunch of things like changing the boot order, enabling fTPM, disabling CSM, and enabling secure boot, but when I do that, the DVD drive disappears from the boot list. My motherboard is from Gigabyte. Do I need to just get a USB instead, or is there something else I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you’re having this much trouble, I’d really suggest downloading the latest version of Windows 11 from Microsoft's website and making a USB bootable drive instead of using the DVD. It should solve your problem in no time!
Make sure the DVD is set up properly as a boot drive in your BIOS. If it’s not there, that could also be causing the issue.
Is your CPU compatible with Windows 11? Sometimes older CPUs don’t meet the requirements, which could be causing the issue.
I just bought this PC off a friend and added some new parts, so I hope it's compatible!
Honestly, creating a USB installer for Windows 11 is the simplest route. DVDs are pretty outdated for this kind of installation. Plus, once you've got secure boot and TPM enabled, it should work smoothly.
Yeah, I've seen that recommended a lot. I'll give it a try soon. Thanks!
It sounds like you're running into partition format issues. When secure boot is enabled, your system might not recognize the MBR (Master Boot Record) partition that's likely on the DVD. It only accepts GPT (GUID Partition Table) formats. Since your drive has MBR, it’s probably why it’s not showing up. If that's the case, a USB installer formatted to GPT would be a better option.
That makes sense! The drive doesn't seem to have anything installed, since my monitor stays blank when I turn it on.

I think it should be, but I'll double-check that settings just to be safe.
