I'm currently running a 3070 along with a 9800x3d on a 700W power supply. If I decide to upgrade to a 5070 12GB OC edition, will my 700W PSU be enough, or should I look for a higher wattage supply?

While 700W could work, I'd love to know the brand of your PSU. If it’s a lower-quality unit like the Thermaltake Smart series, consider getting a more reliable one. For instance, the EVGA G2 is a solid option.

Check out pcpartpicker.com for an estimated wattage. Ideally, you should choose a PSU with some extra headroom, so if your total estimate is around 550W, opting for a 750W would give you a good safety margin.

Yes, 700W should generally be enough for your setup, but it really depends on the quality of your PSU.

You can check your components on a site like particles.com, and it’ll help you figure out the wattage you actually need.
