Upgrading from GTX 1060 to RTX 5070: Do I Need to Remove Old Drivers?

I'm planning to upgrade my old MSI GTX 1060 6GB to a new MSI RTX 5070 Ventus 2X OC. Should I remove the old drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), or can I just switch the graphics cards without any extra steps?

It's a good idea to uninstall the old drivers before you swap in the new card. While you *can* just switch them out, using DDU helps prevent potential conflicts. If you make sure to uninstall the old drivers, it should be smooth sailing! Just have the driver for the RTX 5070 ready to go for installation afterward.

I totally agree with this! DDU might seem like a hassle, but it's worth it if you want a clean install and to avoid any performance issues later.
