I'm having a problem connecting my MacBook Air M1 to my Windows 11 Pro PC using remote desktop. Both devices are fully updated, and I've set up remote desktop on the Windows PC and allowed it through the firewall. I've tried using both the IP address and the PC name in the remote desktop app on my Mac, but I always get the same error: it can't find the PC. I've checked that both machines can ping each other in the terminal, and I've ensured that the remote desktop app has local network access on macOS. I've even disabled and re-enabled its access based on advice from another forum post, but nothing seems to work. I'm completely stuck and would appreciate any tips or solutions you might have!

Have you tried using the IP address directly in the remote desktop app? Sometimes that can work better than the PC name. Also, make sure that the Remote Desktop Service is actually running on your Windows 11 machine.
Make sure to check that your Windows firewall isn’t blocking the Remote Desktop port. You can also try using a tool like netcat from your Mac to check if you can connect to the Windows PC's port 3389. If you can’t, then something might be blocking it.
