I've always dreamed of building my own PC, and now that I've got a decent job, I can finally make it happen! My brother gifted me a brand-new AMD Ryzen 7 5800 CPU with an AM4 socket, and I'm excited to start my build. I'm looking to create a gaming PC, but I'm not super knowledgeable about all the components. Right now, I don't have all the funds together, but I'd love to start planning and saving for the rest of the parts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just a heads-up, make sure you know whether your CPU is a 5800, 5800X, or 5800X3D. It can affect your choice of motherboard and other parts!
Since the Ryzen 7 5800 is an older model, I’d recommend looking for used parts for the rest of your build. It’s often more cost-effective and you can save a good amount of money that way.
You should definitely check out pcpartpicker.com. It's a great resource where you can input your CPU, and it will show you all the compatible components. They also have guides that can help you with suggestions for your build.
