I recently purchased a new home and have some extra funds. I'm considering building a new PC or getting a prebuilt one. While I'd love to get my hands on a 5090, my budget is more aligned with a GTX 5080.
I plan to connect the PC to my LG G5 65-inch TV and want to know if the GTX 5080 can handle games like Baldur's Gate, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring at 4K with high settings. It's been 7 years since my last upgrade, so I'm a bit out of touch. Currently, I game on a 2K monitor with a 2080 Ti, so this would be a significant upgrade for me.
Thanks for any insights!

I've been using a GTX 5080 with a 4K display, and it does quite well! It's not quite as powerful as the 5090, especially for demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, but you can still get a fantastic gaming experience without cranking every setting to the max. For your use, the 5080 should serve you nicely!

Yeah, I feel you on the 5090 temptation! Just remember, the 5080 can give you solid performance even if it’s not the absolute top tier.
