I'm planning to switch my operating system from Windows to Linux on both my PC and laptop. Here are my specs:

**For my PC:**
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B450M-PLUS II
- Peripherals include a Gamesir T4 Nova Lite gamepad and an AAJAZ APEX AJ159 mouse, although I'm unsure about driver support for Linux.

**For my Laptop:**
- CPU: Intel i5 7300HQ
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB & Intel HD 630
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 250 GB NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD

**Use Cases:**
My PC will primarily be used for gaming (especially League of Legends and other Steam games), design work, and school tasks. My laptop is for taking notes, web browsing, and light programming. I've previously used Zorin OS but I'm looking for something new, visually appealing, and effective. What suggestions do you have?

Just a heads up, League of Legends might not work on Linux due to the Vanguard anti-cheat, but don't let that discourage you! When choosing a distro, focus on the desktop environment because that's what often makes things visually appealing. KDE Plasma is fantastic for that—available on many distros. If you're into customizing your setup, consider Hyprland! You can find some great setups and dotfiles on GitHub to make your desktop look amazing.

Oh right, I totally forgot about Vanguard... Thanks!!

Pop!OS might be a great fit for you—it's optimized for AMD gaming, plus it has solid compatibility with Nvidia GPUs as well. If League of Legends is your only heavy game, though, you should be fine with most distros. Switching OS doesn't take long at all, so don't stress too much! You'll likely want to explore a few more options in six months anyway. Enjoy the journey!

I'd recommend trying Linux Mint! It's super user-friendly and a lot of people love it. Perfect for both beginners and more advanced users.
