I'm building my first PC and aiming for an MSI 80+ Gold 850 watt power supply. However, when I select this option in PCPartPicker, it suggests that I need to choose a different case. Both the 750W and 850W power supplies have the same dimensions, which confuses me as I'm new to this whole process. I've included the relevant links to my parts list below. Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Here's the first link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/r7fQTM
And here's the second one showing the error with the 850W PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2CvKyW

I couldn't find any issues when I selected the 850W version. If you're still getting an error, it might help to check the specific details listed on the part picker or try using a different browser. Good luck, and feel free to update us if it still doesn't work!
It sounds like you might be fine with either PSU. The 750W should work well for your build, but if you're planning on future upgrades, going for the 850W is a good idea. The part compatibility errors can sometimes be more about how the site calculates fit rather than physical dimensions. By the way, are you based in the US? I could offer some tailored suggestions if needed!
There's no error on my end when I try to add the 850W PSU to my list. It could just be a temporary glitch or something with your browser settings. Let us know how it goes!
Very weird! It might be my browser causing the issue, though I'm not sure how. Thanks for your help!
You might want to double-check your part list link. Sometimes, links can cause confusion. Try using the permalink option to generate a new link. Just a tip for better visibility! Here are the instructions to do that: https://imgur.com/IW0iaOm

Haha yes, I'm in the US!
