I just built a new PC and I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D on a Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7 motherboard. I found a great deal on a Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400 (2x16GB) CL36 RAM kit (CMH32GX5M2N6400C36) that seemed perfect at $200. However, I realized it might not be compatible after reading some reports about issues with enabling the XMP profile in the BIOS. I don't have much experience with BIOS settings and I'm worried about messing with timings. Should I return this RAM kit and look for a verified one for my motherboard? I've seen recommendations for a 6000 CL30 kit, but those are much pricier at $350-$400. Any advice would be appreciated!

It seems designed for Intel, which is why there might be compatibility concerns. But if it's working at a lower speed without issues, I'd recommend trying it as is rather than shelling out for a new kit.
If it's not listed in the motherboard's QVL, that’s a red flag, but it sounds like it's running okay for now at 4800 MT/s. It might be alright to keep it and save the cash. You could always try tweaking it later if you're feeling brave!
Honestly, if it’s working for now, I’d stick with it and save the hassle. You can always revisit tuning once you’re more comfortable.
