Need Help with CPU Upgrade to Fix GPU Bottlenecking

I'm dealing with some serious bottlenecking issues while gaming, and I'd love your advice. My current setup includes an i5 1440f CPU paired with a 5070 GPU, and I'm seeing only about 60% GPU usage at 1440p, which is frustrating. I'm considering upgrading to an i7 14700kf to alleviate the bottleneck, but I've heard mixed reviews regarding it overheating, especially with my Gigabyte B760M C motherboard. Should I expect to upgrade my motherboard along with the CPU, or can my current one handle the new processor? I'm planning on getting a new CPU cooler but not looking to overclock. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try increasing your detail settings in games. Your CPU should normally keep up with the 5070 at 1440p without any issues. What games are you trying to play? If they're not graphically intensive, that might explain the low GPU usage.

Currently, I'm playing Arc Raiders and Ark Ascended. I’ll definitely look into turning up the detail settings. Thanks for the tip!

What software are you using to track your GPU usage? Sometimes the monitoring tools can be misleading. If you're on Windows 11, you're probably fine, but just double-check to make sure you're looking at accurate readings.

I'm using Windows 11 for the OS. I'm still new to PCs, so I'm unsure what to look for to diagnose this properly.
