Is my PSU CPU connector compatible with my motherboard’s 12v 2×4?

I've got a TUF GAMING 850W PSU and a GIGABYTE B650E EAGLE WF6E motherboard, but I'm running into an issue with the CPU connector. The pattern for my CPU connector looks like this:

0100

1000

However, the 12v 2x4 on the motherboard is:

0110

1001

While I can fit the connector technically, I'm concerned that it might be a defective PSU since the patterns are different. Plus, I'm worried the pinout could also be mismatched and potentially fry my build. Is this difference normal or should I consider returning the PSU? I found a review where the connector looked similar to mine, and you can check it out here: [YouTube](https://youtu.be/mSqjbhujyb4?t=382)

Yes, it can be compatible! The extra 2x2 pin on your connector is mainly for additional power delivery, especially useful if you're into extreme overclocking. Your connector is capable of delivering up to 336W, which is more than enough for most CPUs out there. This shouldn't cause any issues with your setup.

I see your concern about the different patterns. While the shapes might vary, as long as the connector fits without forcing it, you should be fine. Just make sure to double-check that the wiring is correct before powering up. Better safe than sorry!
