I've heard that ASRock motherboards might be causing CPU failures, specifically with the 9800X3D. I'm considering pairing a 9950X with an ASRock motherboard and want to know if this issue affects only the 9800X3D, or if there are other CPUs at risk too.

So far, it looks like the only ones affected are the 9800X3D, 9900X3D, and 9950X3D. There haven't been any reports of regular CPUs experiencing issues with ASRock.
This type of issue seems to be common during every X3D launch, but this time it feels like it's much more limited compared to past problems with other brands.
It appears to be linked to their quality control processes, which might amplify fear but doesn't represent the overall reliability of other CPUs or motherboards.
Honestly, it's a super small issue when you consider the number of units out there—like just 100 out of hundreds of thousands. I've got my 9800X3D running on the Taichi x870e and it’s been smooth sailing for me!
If you’re worried, just stop! It really seems to be a rare occurrence.
The risk really isn't something to worry about too much. ASRock actually makes some solid motherboards, and this seems more like a rare case rather than a widespread problem.
Thanks for the reassurance!
