Should I Upgrade from a Ryzen 2600 to a Ryzen 5700X with a GTX 2060?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 2600 processor with a GTX 2060 graphics card, primarily playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. My frame rates are sitting around 60 fps with the settings optimized and upscaling turned on. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5700X for better performance, especially since I want to start streaming as well. However, I'm aware that I may need a BIOS update and that ram prices are a concern. I'm curious if making the upgrade would significantly increase my fps and if it's worth it overall.

The GTX 2060 might struggle a bit with a Ryzen 5000 series CPU because it's not particularly strong by today's standards. If you're also considering an Intel setup, the LGA1700 could be good for a more current platform.

I already have the Ryzen 2600, though.

If you're okay with lowering your graphics settings to competitive mode (which it sounds like you are) and gaming at 1080p, moving to a 5700X could give you a noticeable fps boost in COD. Moreover, it would improve your 1% lows during GPU-intensive scenarios. If you find a 5600X for cheaper, that would also be a solid upgrade as the extra two cores of the 5700X don't make a massive difference for most games.
