What upgrade options should I consider for my PC that just stopped working?

I recently powered on my PC, but all I got was a blank black screen with an underscore. This isn't the first time I've encountered issues; my computer has been shutting down unexpectedly while gaming and has been sluggish overall. I think it's time for an upgrade. Here are the specs:
- Nvidia 1660 Super with 6GB VRAM
- Ryzen 5 3600 processor
- 16GB DDR4 RAM
- M.2 SSD
- Tomahawk B450 motherboard

What do you all suggest for improving my setup?

It's tough to suggest specific upgrades without knowing what parts are broken. It's possible you might need to replace everything if it’s a significant hardware issue.

I recommend considering an upgrade to a better GPU and CPU, maybe something like the Ryzen 5 5600. This combo should provide a noticeable performance boost.

I actually found a great deal on an 5800X that I'll be using. I suspect my previous CPU was overheating, which caused the shutdowns.

Definitely look into upgrading both your CPU and cooler, along with the GPU. It seems like you might just need a better cooling solution too; maybe your thermal paste has dried up.

I do have an NZXT liquid cooler on it, but you might be right about the thermal paste being an issue.
