Tips for Navigating Parental Tracking on My iPhone

So my mom recently decided to start tracking everything I do on my iPhone, and while I'm okay with most of it, there are definitely some things I'd prefer to keep private. Like, I have a crush on my female friend who feels the same way, and I just know my parents would freak out if they found out. They're using apps like Bark and MMGuardian, and I've heard they're trying other stuff too. If anyone has advice on how to get around these parental control apps to keep my messaging on WhatsApp and texts hidden, I'd really appreciate it!

If you think your parents might not understand your feelings, it might be safer to keep that stuff off your phone completely. It’s not fair, but safety first, right?

Check out this thread I found, it has some useful info on how kids are getting around these types of apps: https://www.reddit.com/r/parentalcontrols/s/T9fcj0mbqd. Just be careful with what you share online!

I get why you'd want some privacy, but honestly, you might want to just talk to your parents about it instead. It could help build trust. Most people around here won't suggest ways to bypass controls because it's risky. Just think about your safety too!

You're underage, so having a phone is a privilege. If you want more freedom, maybe try saving up for your own phone one day? Just keep your head down for now and do what you can to navigate your situation until you're older and can call your own shots. But I really think being honest with your parents might be the best route. They may surprise you!

Totally agree! Just be yourself and try to have those tough conversations. It’ll help in the long run.
