My PC Keeps Shutting Down After Upgrading CPU, RAM, and Motherboard – Help!

I recently upgraded my setup with a 7800x3d CPU, a BP650 Eagle AX motherboard, Crucial Pro overclocking DDR5 CL36 RAM, and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo CPU cooler. The PC seems to idle fine when only the power cord is connected, but it shuts down whenever I try to access the BIOS or boot into an operating system, especially during the "getting device ready" screen. I'm at a loss for what could be causing the shutdowns. Any ideas?

What's the power supply unit (PSU) you're using with this setup? Sometimes, insufficient power can cause random shutdowns when the components draw more power during initial use.

I'm using a Corsair RM850, so I thought I had enough power.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a thermal issue. When the CPU gets too hot, it can cause shutdowns. Make sure the cooler fan is running properly—if it's not plugged in, that could be it. When you installed the cooler, did you check the thermal paste? If you had to re-install it multiple times without replacing the paste, it could create air pockets that trap heat. Maybe consider reapplying the thermal paste and see if that helps?

Yeah, I wasn't really sure about how much paste to use, and I did have to remove and re-attach the cooler a couple of times. Would it be worth taking it apart to add more thermal paste? I've noticed that it shuts down quicker each time I turn it back on.
