Why Can I Browse the Internet but Not Connect to Games?

I've been having a weird issue with my PC where I can easily surf the internet and download games, but when I try to play them, I can't seem to connect online. I've already tried plugging in an Ethernet cable, updating my Ethernet drivers, and checking for updates on my wireless adapter, but nothing seems to work. I even flushed my DNS. Is there anything else I can try before I consider resetting my PC?

Is this happening with all your games or just specific ones? Knowing that could help narrow down the issue.

I forgot to mention the games! Fallout 4, Skyrim, Apex, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Mortal Kombat 1 can't connect, but Ace Combat 7 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint work fine. Can't figure out what differs between them!

Have you tried finding the server addresses to ping them directly? Also, check if you're using a specific DNS and consider changing it to see if that makes a difference.

Have you checked your firewall settings? Sometimes they can block game connections while allowing browsers. Try temporarily disabling it to see if that helps. Also, make sure UPnP is enabled on your router.

No luck with the firewall, unfortunately. I even tried using my phone's hotspot but still couldn't connect.
