How can I optimize graphics settings on Cachy OS using integrated and dedicated GPU?

I have a laptop equipped with an Intel 12450H processor and an RTX 3050 with 4GB of VRAM. I'm trying to configure Cachy OS to use the integrated graphics for my desktop environment while reserving the dedicated GPU for gaming. However, I haven't found any solutions online that work for me. Any suggestions?

Honestly, it's a tricky setup. Most people opt to use the dedicated GPU full-time for performance, especially since it can handle more demanding applications. For desktop usage, unless you're running something super resource-heavy, the dedicated GPU typically goes idle with minimal power draw. You might want to just use the RTX for everything given its capability.

You should definitely keep in mind that with only 4GB of VRAM, your system can get easily bogged down if you have multiple applications like Discord and Firefox running. Consider optimizing those apps to use less memory, or check if there are ways to configure your desktop environment to reduce VRAM usage.

That makes sense! I'll try managing my apps better to free up some VRAM.
