I'm planning to build my first PC with a budget of around $1000 aimed at casual 1080p gaming, light video editing, and schoolwork. I've put together a preliminary list of parts and would love to get your thoughts on them. Here's what I have in mind: CPU is a Ryzen 5 7600 with cooler, GPU is an MSI RTX 5050 Shadow 8GB, and for RAM I'm looking at XPG GAMMIX D20 DDR4 3200MHz with 32GB (2x16GB). I'm aware that DDR5 would be better, but it's a bit out of my price range. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Just a heads up, the Ryzen 5 7600 only supports DDR5, so you won’t be able to use DDR4 like you planned. You might want to reconsider your CPU choice if you want to stick with DDR4 RAM.
I suggest getting the 5600X instead of the 7600. It’s compatible with DDR4, and you’ll save some cash while still getting great performance for gaming and editing.

I had no idea about the compatibility issue! I guess I might just have to splurge on DDR5 after all. Thanks for the tip!
