Looking for On-Prem Alternatives to SolarWinds

Hi everyone! I've been diving into various forums and come across a lot of different suggestions, but I'm eager to hear from you all. I'm searching for a solid alternative to SolarWinds that can serve as a complete replacement. We've been using it for a long time and rely on various features like Network Performance Monitoring (NPM), Server and Application Monitor (SAM), Storage Resource Monitor (SRM), and even some custom monitoring configurations that involve PowerShell scripts and automated reporting. I want to avoid making a big jump to a new platform only to find it lacks critical functionalities that SolarWinds provides. Additionally, the new pricing models have become quite hard to justify, so any recommendations for on-prem solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Keep in mind that finding a single platform that covers everything SolarWinds does out of the box is pretty tough. Especially for features like SAM, you might need significant customization.

Have you checked out LibreNMS? It's worth considering as an alternative.

You might want to look at ELK stack if you're into self-hosting. Also, Prometheus combined with Grafana could be solid for monitoring. Zabbix is another great option.

I’m primarily looking for monitoring, especially for various on-prem systems and hardware like VMs, servers, and applications.

Honestly, we switched to Zabbix and it's been fantastic. I’d recommend giving it a shot if you're considering alternatives.

Just throwing it out there, but make sure to mention your budget for a precise recommendation!
