Hey everyone! I'm majoring in accounting but I've developed a strong interest in data and really want to transition into AI and machine learning. Currently, I'm taking a data analysis course on Coursera that includes Python, but I'm not quite sure what my next steps should be. Is it feasible for me to break into AI/ML, and could someone please provide a roadmap or guidance? Thanks a lot!

It really depends on what you're looking to do: Do you want to develop new AI models from scratch? If so, you'll want to focus more on machine learning. Or, if you're keen on using existing AI to analyze data, that's more about applied AI engineering. Personally, I'm leaning towards applied AI, where I work with current models and experiment with things like prompting. I don't have much experience with building models from scratch, so I'm in the same boat!

I'm definitely interested in applied AI as well! It seems more practical.

Check out this roadmap for getting into AI and data science: https://roadmap.sh/ai-data-scientist. It’s super helpful! Make sure to brush up on your Python basics since you’re already on that path.

Absolutely! Starting with Python fundamentals is key, so dive into that.
