I'm looking to upgrade my PC to support a dual GPU setup, but switching to an AM5 motherboard isn't feasible for me right now. Instead, I'm planning to upgrade my GPU and CPU and possibly my case and power supply as needed. I've picked out a Ryzen 9 5900XT to pair with an RTX 5070 Ti. Does that sound good? For reference, my current setup includes a Ryzen 9 3950X, a Noctua NH-D15 cooler, an RTX 2080 Ti, 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, an MSI MEG ACE X570 motherboard, and a 750W Corsair power supply, all housed in a Meshify C case.

You're good to go with that setup! If you can find an X3D model, that'd be even better, but the 5900XT is solid on its own.

I do a mix of editing and gaming. I don’t really need dual GPUs; I just wanted to try it out for fun.
Just a heads-up, AM5 is generally better for dual GPU setups. While there are some AM4 boards that support bifurcation, it's getting rare. The high-end MSI boards might still offer it, but be aware that using bifurcation could impact your main GPU's performance on PCIe 4.0.
I know the ACE X570 can handle bifurcation, but I heard it might slow down my main GPU. Just trying to weigh the options!
If I come across an X3D, I'll definitely consider it!
