I just got my new DDR5 6400MT/s RAM today, but it mentions compatibility only with Ryzen 9000 series processors. Do I really need to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 9600X for it to work, or will it run fine with my Ryzen 5 7600X?

You shouldn't have any problems! The DDR5 RAM will work perfectly fine with your Ryzen 5 7600X.
