Hey everyone! A friend has been helping me piece together a new gaming PC, but I'm a bit lost when it comes to understanding everything. My budget is 55,000 CZK (around 2,300 Euros or 2,600 Dollars). This setup is mainly for gaming at 1440p and some 4K video editing. I don't plan on upgrading for a long time—possibly never—so I'm okay with playing on lower settings in the future when it's time for a replacement. Right now, I'm using an i7-6600K and a GTX 1060, so anything I get will be a significant upgrade. I'm currently debating between the Ryzen 7 9700X and the 7800X3D, but I'm starting to think the 9700X might be enough, especially since it's cheaper (around 100 Euros). I'd like to find ways to cut costs, but I'm not sure where to start with the components. My main concern is ensuring all the parts are compatible. Also, the RAM I wanted is currently out of stock, so I need to find a new option, preferably available on my current shopping site. Any recommendations on specs for my motherboard or any other tips? Thanks in advance!

Your build looks solid overall! Just a heads up, most of your budget will likely go to the RAM. You might want to check sites like eBay for 8GB options or see if any friends have some RAM they could lend you. Right now, it's a tough time for building due to high RAM prices. Everything else is relatively affordable, but RAM and SSD prices are spiking.
Consider swapping the RM850x PSU for an FSP Vita GD 750W or an Adata XPG Core Reactor II VE 750W if you want a modular option. Also, you might want to replace the 990 EVO Plus SSD with an Adata Legend 900 Pro or a Patriot VP4300 Lite. For your GPU, an RX 9070 XT is worth looking into since it's slightly less powerful but way more budget-friendly. Aim for 6000-CL30 memory if you can find it, but CL36 is acceptable given current prices—check out the Adata XPG Lancer Blade or Patriot Viper Venom kits.

Good point! I also think prices might go even higher, especially since I need a new PC before October 2026. My old machine can’t run Windows 11, and I don’t want to fork out more money for updates. Plus, my current PC is making strange noises, so I need to act fast.
