I'm looking to build my own computer and I've managed to save up some funds to kick off my project with a processor and motherboard. I'm curious about when the optimal time is to start purchasing the parts. Also, what websites do you all recommend for buying them? Thanks!

It's generally not a great idea to buy PC parts one by one over time. You won’t be able to test everything together while it's still within the return window. Plus, prices for components tend to drop over time, which means you might end up spending more money for less performance. I’d suggest saving up and buying everything at once! But who knows with the current market situation, things can change, haha.

I'm considering a 4070 TI Super for my GPU too! Do you guys have other suggestions? I’m thinking about pairing it with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

I'm planning to keep my build for years as well. I might wait until the end of the year to finish everything. Right now, the GPU is my top priority.
