Should I buy RAM now or wait for prices to drop?

I've been wanting to build a PC for a while, but it seems like RAM prices have skyrocketed recently. I'm uncertain whether I should buy it now before it potentially gets even more expensive, or if I should just wait it out and see if prices normalize in the near future. What do you think I should do?

If you can hold out for about two years, that might be wise. Prices could take a while to return to a more reasonable level. In the meantime, keep an eye out for deals and try to manage your budget through this tough patch.

I suggest just building your PC now. There's never a perfect time to wait for components, and it's better to grab what you can than risk further price hikes.

Nobody can predict the future here. RAM prices might stabilize in six months or could stay high for years. When you really need a PC, consider other options too, like a Steam Machine or pre-built systems.

Honestly, there's no real waiting this out. Based on timelines, prices are expected to spike until February when crucial shipments are cut off. It might just get way worse before it gets better.

You might want to grab some used RAM while you can find it for decent prices. eBay has some good second-hand options, plus it usually comes with buyer protection!
