Did I buy the wrong RAM for my new build?

I'm transitioning from my current setup which includes a GIGABYTE B460M DS3H AC V2-Y1 motherboard, Intel Core i9-10900F CPU, 32GB of 2600MHz DDR4 RAM, and a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC GPU. I'm considering upgrading to an AM5 architecture and I found a CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 6400MHz kit (2x16GB) for $150. However, I've heard that 6400MHz may not perform well with AM5 systems. I'm still deciding on a motherboard, but I'm leaning towards the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WiFi and a Ryzen 9 9900x CPU. Should I return the RAM and look for something else, or can I make it work somehow? I'm worried about RAM prices going up, so I could use some advice.

You should be able to get it working! Just enable XMP (or EXPO for AM5), and maybe tweak the speed down to 6000MHz. That should keep things stable most of the time. If you run into issues, you might need to adjust the timings or drop it further to 5600MHz. Just remember, tweaking might be necessary depending on your specific setup.

Is XMP only for older platforms? What about EXPO?
