Which SSD Should I Choose for Speed and Durability?

I'm trying to decide between two SSD options: the Western Digital Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD and the Western Digital WD Blue SN5100 M.2 NVMe. I've heard that one might be faster than the other, but it seems that after a while, the speed can change. Can anyone advise on which SSD would be better for both speed and durability? Or maybe suggest another SSD that fits the bill?

They are quite comparable, but there might be better choices depending on your budget. What’s your price range and where are you buying from?

I'm looking to spend around €100 for 1TB in Spain, but I could stretch a bit if needed. I also considered getting a 500GB secondary SSD for storing personal stuff like documents and photos, so around €150 total.

What kind of speed are you focusing on? Different metrics matter—sequential, random, or maybe just overall performance. If your use case isn't demanding, I'd suggest just going with the cheaper option.

Honestly, they perform pretty similarly, so you can't go wrong with either one.
