Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a good evening. I recently bought a 32GB (2x16GB) set of CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM at 6400MHz CL36 for €250 ($290). The RAM is brand new and hasn't been opened. However, I've been hearing from friends that I got ripped off and that I might've rushed into a bad decision just to avoid waiting to get RAM for almost a year. So I'm really curious—did I snag a decent deal with this purchase or did I totally get taken for a ride?

The RAM market is tricky right now. Prices depend a lot on the specific region and what’s available. I’ve noticed a spike in Intel builds since they’re providing better value for clients lately. With AMD’s prices being high, especially for top-tier CPUs and RAM, you might just be facing the market's ups and downs. It’s good stuff, but it’s premium, so keep that in mind!
Honestly, that price is on the higher end for 32GB of DDR5 RAM right now. It seems like a bit of a rip-off, especially when you consider how prices have fluctuated lately. A couple of months ago, you could have found it cheaper. But right now, it's pretty close to what others are paying for similar models, so it's not the worst deal either. You might have just missed the window where prices were lower.
You paid around the same as winter prices, which were a bit higher during peak demand seasons. I bought some similar RAM last year for about €294, but I know prices have dipped a bit since. If you needed the RAM right away, it might've been worth it for you. Just keep an eye out for sales next time!

Yeah, I hear you. I guess I rushed into it because I didn't want to wait! Thanks for the insight.
