Help! My Windows 11 PC Won’t Boot After a Power Outage

I recently updated to Windows 11 about two weeks ago. Today, the power went out while I was using my computer, and now it won't boot at all. It keeps cycling on the BIOS splash screen and then just restarts repeatedly. I checked the BIOS, and it does recognize the boot drive. I'm comfortable navigating the BIOS and use the command line. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Why would a power outage cause my system to act this way?

It sounds like your computer might have been in the middle of a crucial update when the power went out, which can really mess things up. I suggest trying to boot from a USB and accessing the recovery environment. Once there, you can attempt startup repair, uninstall any recent updates, or restore from a previous save point. If you're having trouble getting to recovery mode, just power it off three times in a row to force it into recovery mode.

I've experienced a similar issue before. In my case, I had to wipe the drive, repartition it, and then do a clean installation of Windows through USB. You can use a tool like Ventoy to make the process smoother. Just make sure you've backed up any important data before wiping!
