I'm not planning to upgrade the internal HDD of my custom PC, so I'm looking to purchase an NVMe SSD and use it with a USB enclosure to connect to my USB 4 (40Gb/s) or USB 3.1 (10Gb/s) ports. I also want this drive to be compatible with my Mac Mini M2. I'm pretty clueless about different brands and what makes a good SSD or enclosure. I'm currently browsing Amazon's best sellers and considering a capacity of 1 TB, though 500 GB would be okay if it's cheaper. I'm aware I need to match the SSD speeds with the enclosure's USB interface speeds. USB4 enclosures are quite pricey at around $50-$100, while USB3.1 options are more affordable at about $15-$20. Here are some SSDs I'm looking at: 1) Western Digital Black 1TB for $115, 2) Western Digital Blue 500GB for $60 (or 1TB for $100), 3) Timetec 512GB for $50, and 4) Silicon Power 1TB for $75. I would really appreciate any recommendations to help me make a decision. Thanks!
