Help! My Dad’s TV Is Acting Up—Is It Dust or Something Else?

So, here's the deal: I usually watch TV in the living room because my own room isn't set up yet. Recently, the TV has been acting weird. It's a Scepter model that we've had for quite a while, and while I've only been watching it for a few months, it's been showing odd behavior lately. Sometimes it flickers between channels and a blue screen when I turn the volume down past 35, and now it barely turns on at all. My dad is pretty protective of the living room—there's a lot of dust in that area, and I worry that might be a factor. I fall asleep with the TV on because of my weird sleep schedule. Is it just dust, overuse, or is there something more serious going on?

Cheap TVs often develop power issues over time. You might get lucky and find a shop that can do a simple fix for you. It's definitely worth checking out!

Damn. I really don’t have money for a repair shop.

Honestly, Scepter TVs aren’t known for their reliability. Falling asleep with it on definitely isn't the cause, sounds like it just happened to fail. Really, if it’s flickering and not turning on, it might just be on its last legs. Sorry to say!

Is there any way to fix it? My dad will be so pissed. He's already pretty frustrated as it is.
