I'm in a bit of a bind and really need help recovering photos that I deleted about four years ago. They were on my iPad, but I also have a Mac and an iPhone. I'm not super tech-savvy, so I'm unsure how to go about this or even if there's a chance to retrieve them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can also look into your devices directly. On your iPad, check the 'Recently Deleted' folder in the Photos app; items typically stay there for 30 days unless you deleted them permanently. If you have older backups, use the Mac to see if you can restore from time machine or another backup service.
First off, check if you have any backups set up. If you enabled iCloud, you might be able to retrieve your photos from there. Just log into your iCloud account and see if the photos are stored in your backups. If you aren’t sure how to access older backups, that’s something you can find on Apple’s support site too.
