Need Help Installing an SSD on Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX

I'm trying to figure out how to install an SSD on my Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard. I've got everything ready, but there's this black plastic tab that looks like I need to pull to make room for the SSD. I'm not sure how to do this because it feels like I'm going to break it if I pull too hard. My installation guide doesn't really explain how to add an SSD. Does anyone have experience with this motherboard or know what I should do?

Check out page 25 of your manual, it should have the exact steps for installing an SSD. The key things are to pull the clip's tab up and then slide the SSD into the connector at an angle. Don't forget to press down on the SSD front end before securing it with the tab.

I wish my manual was more detailed! Mine just had a tiny fold-out that didn’t explain anything.

It seems like you're dealing with a tool-less design, so you might need to apply a bit of force to remove the rubber plug. I found a thread where someone documented their experience with this setup. Just keep it steady, and you should be fine!

Thanks, that worked for me! I just had to be a bit more forceful than I expected.

I saw your image link! Just a heads-up, pulling to release those tabs can be a bit tough, but they typically do come out without breaking anything. Just be gentle, and you’ll be fine!
