What’s a Good Surge Protector for My New PC?

I recently had a scare when my power supply and motherboard for my PC died, possibly due to a power surge. Thankfully, I got them replaced with some solid upgrades—I now have a 1250W Gold MAG power supply, a MAG motherboard, and a better GPU, CPU, and cooler. To prevent this from happening again, I'm looking for recommendations on a reliable surge protector to use with my setup. Any suggestions?

Honestly, you should stick to recognized brands for surge protectors. They have to comply with regulations, which means they’re generally safer than off-brand options. If you want extra protection, consider investing in a high-end power supply too; brands like Corsair have models that can handle surges better and may protect your other components as well. Just make sure whichever surge protector you pick has a good joule rating for maximum protection.

Are you sure a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) wouldn't be a better choice? I've heard they can provide even more protection and keep your PC running during outages.
