Hey everyone! I'm looking to mirror or cast my iPhone to my non-smart TV. All I want is to be able to watch TikTok on the TV. I've been trying to figure out whether to go for an Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, or something else. Can anyone recommend the best device for my needs? I appreciate any help!

You could go for a wireless HDMI solution if your TV has an HDMI input. Just get an adapter for the USB-C port on your iPhone. A quick search online will show you various options for this!

Thanks, I'll check that out! I have an iPhone 13 Pro, so I assume I'd need a dongle adapter for the USB-C to connect it, right?

Are we really at a point where wireless HDMI solutions are the go-to for casting? Seems a bit sad, huh?

Roku works for casting too, so that’s a solid option. You might want to consider what other streaming options you want as well.

If you want the easiest and most reliable option, definitely go with an Apple TV. It works great and fits well into the Apple ecosystem. Honestly, a normal streaming device like a Roku stick would work too and even has a native TikTok app, so you wouldn’t even need to use your phone for that!

Just a heads up, TikTok videos can look pretty weird on a big TV screen because of the vertical format, so keep that in mind!
