How do I get rid of the subscription splash screen on Windows 11?

I've been encountering a splash screen on Windows 11 that I can't seem to close or bypass (it's really frustrating!). It looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/uzXWODu. There are no close or minimize buttons, and even trying Ctrl-Shift-Esc or the Windows button doesn't help. Is this some sort of tactic by Microsoft to push their subscriptions? If so, how can I disable these annoying screens?

It sounds like you're dealing with a subscription prompt that might be related to Office, even if you don't have it installed. Sometimes Windows will still push these reminders if you've previously had Office installed. Check if there's any remnants of Office left that might be triggering this screen.

It’s worth trying a restart in safe mode. You can access this by holding down the shift key while you select 'Restart' from the power menu. Once in safe mode, see if you can find any programs or settings that relate to your issue. It could be an easy fix!
