I had my 6700 XT fail recently, and while searching for GPU options, I found a refurbished RTX 3070 on Newegg priced at just $270. It seems like a significant upgrade, but I'm a bit wary. Can anyone share their experiences with refurbished GPUs from Newegg? Is this a good deal, or should I be cautious about it?

I snagged a refurbished RX 6600 from Newegg for $160 a couple of years ago, and it’s been great! It came with a 90-day warranty too. Just be sure to check if the warranty applies to that 3070 deal.

That warranty is super important! Always good to know you have some coverage if things go south.

$270 for a 3070 sounds pretty normal these days, but you might find better options. I’ve seen some newer models for not much more, and if you're open to looking, you might score faster performance for a similar price.

Honestly, I'm not convinced that's a great upgrade. Refurbished just means someone else returned it, so there's always some risk involved. I'd worry about the longevity of the card, especially if it’s priced that low.

Yeah, I agree. If it's refurbished, it might not be as reliable as a brand new one.

If you look at other markets, like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, you can see 3070s for around $200. So, I’d say $270 isn’t a steal. But refurbished might not be the worst option depending on the warranty they offer.

Exactly, it might be worth holding out for something better.
