ASUS TUF Laptop Won’t POST After Windows Update – Need Help!

My friend recently initiated a Windows 11 update on their ASUS TUF laptop, but it crashed and powered off right before the update finished. Now, the laptop won't POST at all. They noticed no unusual smells, sounds, or heat that would indicate a hardware failure. Here's what's happening: when they press the power button, nothing happens. If they long-press the power button for about 10 seconds, and then close and reopen the lid, the keyboard RGB lights up and the laptop powers on for about 2-3 seconds before shutting off again. This issue occurs whether it's plugged in or on battery.

I've already tried several troubleshooting steps:
- Removed the battery and drained the residual power – no change.
- Powered on without the battery – same issue.
- Pressed F2/Del repeatedly during the brief startup period, but I can't access BIOS.
- Attempted to boot from a Windows 11 USB, but it never posts.
- Took out the SSD, tested it on my PC (where it worked fine and let me back up data), then reinstalled it in the laptop, but that didn't help either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like the laptop might have faced an unrelated hardware issue during the update. Sometimes these problems arise coincidentally, especially with older hardware.
