I'm looking for a way to remove some items from my desktop without actually deleting the files from my laptop. I just want to keep my other desktop icons visible, so hiding all desktop items isn't an option. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about moving those files to a different location, like your Documents folder? The idea behind the desktop is to keep it clear, just like a real desk. You could create some subfolders there for easy access and pin them in File Explorer for quicker navigation. It's way better than cluttering your desktop with everything!

Totally! A clean desktop makes it easier to find what you really need. Most people just end up dumping files there anyway!
